Under the Night Sky

Ever wished you could navigate across space and time? Explore the stars, discover constellations, and unlock celestial secrets on this laser-guided, naked-eye tour of Yarun’s night sky!

about

Dr Ken Wishaw, Convenor of Maleny Observatory, is the perfect host to guide you across Yarun’s night sky. You’ll embark on a naked-eye tour of the night sky guided by laser pointer uncovering stars, constellations and deep sky objects – clusters, star nurseries and even other galaxies – all visible under dark, clear conditions. Learn how to orient yourself at night, how the skies move and change from season to season, and how first nations peoples used the night sky to navigate and hunt.
