The Echidna Detective

A hands-on workshop exploring the fascinating world of the short-beaked echidna.

Can you recognise the signs of an echidna in your neighbourhood?
Join wildlife ecologist Dr Kate Dutton-Regester for a hands-on workshop exploring the fascinating world of the short-beaked echidna. This workshop will introduce participants to echidna ecology and show how to look for signs of echidna activity, including scats, tracks, and diggings. We will also explore how these observations can help researchers better understand echidna distribution, behaviour, and habitat use across Queensland. Discover how you can become a citizen scientist and directly contribute to vital scientific research on these iconic, ancient monotremes. Perfect for nature lovers of all ages!
