Drawing Inspiration from Fairweather
An art workshop on the site of Ian Fairweather's residence
about
Be inspired by the art and home of Bribie Island's iconic artist Ian Fairweather.
Located in Fairweather Park, local artist Geoff Ginn will lead this workshop focussing on drawing the outdoors using materials from the bush. Participants will draw en plein air, using bushland materials to make an interpretation of Fairweather's home in the forest. Drawing foliage and bush forms is complex but using twigs, leaves and available blossums, participants will learn how to capture the complexity of the patterns of the woodlands and discover how drawings may be embellished with other materials.
What to Bring
Hat, water, chair/stool, any favourite art materials to complement art materials already supplied.
