WONDERS OF THE WALLUM WALK

Join an interactive morning walk through the Bribie Island wallum habitat

Join enthusiastic local botanist Ben Timmings from Gondwana Surveys on an immersive educational walk through Bribie's wallum heath to learn about the unique plants and wildflowers that flourish on the island.

Get educated and entertained on a stroll through the unique wallum heathland in the Bribie Island National Park. Learn about the tough plants that thrive in the swampy native habitat. Meet the carnivorous plants that supplement the meagre nutrients in the sandy soil by capturing and digesting insects.

The proceeds of these walks are split between Gondwana Surveys and BIEPA, so you will be helping to raise funds for our other projects, as well as raising awareness of our island's unique plant life.
