ISLAND SOUNDS

An afternoon of jazz, blues favourites celebrating the laid-back beach vibe of Bribie Island. Enjoy hot tunes and a tropical cocktail with the 18 piece JMI Big Band performing jazz standards.

Bribie Island’s own Moving Parts gets the afternoon started with island vibe original music and its chilled reggae groove.

Dress code: Tropical Nightclub. Prizes for best dressed.

JMI Jazz Orchestra 
The JMI Jazz Orchestra is an 18-piece big band from the Jazz Music Institute's internationally-renowned degree program. The JMI Jazz Orchestra pays tribute to the incredible music of Duke Ellington and Count Basie and has performed at numerous festivals throughout South-East Queensland and New South Wales over the past few years to rapturous audiences. 

Moving Parts
Moving Parts is an emerging mostly Bribie-based six-piece band playing its own original music. They play a rich mix of reggae, rock and funky blues with heartfelt lyrics and an upbeat tempo.
