DRAWING WITH THE BUSH WORKSHOP

A workshop focussing on drawing the outdoors using resources and materials from the bush and taking inspiration from the art and home of iconic artist Ian Fairweather.

The outdoor workshop led by renowned artists Geoff Ginn and Glenda Charles celebrates Bribie Island’s unique nature.

Participants will draw en plein air, using bushland materials to make an interpretation of Fairweather’s studio/home in the forest.

Drawing foliage and bush forms is complex but using twigs, leaves and available blossoms, participants will learn how to capture the complexity of the patterns of the woodlands and discover how drawings may be embellished with other materials.
